Finance Manager XS9.6a job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join our hardworking and successful team at The Thomas Hardye School.
The postholder will have significant financial experience (preferably in an educational environment), be confident to lead and motivate the finance team, and have the ability to identify and drive improvement.
You will play an important role in monitoring the school’s budgets, ensure processes are adhered to, be comfortable in challenging appropriately, and lead all aspects of the financial operations providing support to the School Business Manager as necessary. You will be working closely with key personnel including the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and the Governing Body to provide up to date guidance and advice on all financial matters including the financial strategy and forecast variations.
The successful candidate will ideally have an accountancy qualification or significant experience in finance, as well as being literate in Microsoft office packages, hold excellent organisation & communication skills and be proactive & approachable.
