What skills and experience we're looking for

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at St Wilfrid’s as a Finance Officer.

We are seeking to appoint a colleague to provide administrative and financial support to the staff and students of the academy. Provide guidance and support of administration and finance assistants within the admin team whilst ensure the efficient and effective use of resources that fall under the responsibility of the post.

The post holder will ensure all financial processes and procedures are undertaken and adhered to in accordance with the BKCAT Financial Handbook. Manage a high-quality payroll provision within school for teachers and support staff and maintain and update HR documents and files, including all types of staff absence, reviews, and employee records. Monitoring completion of all documents in a timely manner ensuring procedures are adhered to, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity of the personal data recorded on these documents at all times.

St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College is a mixed voluntary Academy for 11-18 year olds, based in North Featherstone in West Yorkshire. There are currently 1,538 students in attendance. The School opened in 1963 and has a proud history. We were judged as Good by Ofsted in November 2021; we were also judged as Good by the Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in April 2024.
