Salary: NJC 3-5 £24,027 - £24,790 (FTE) £19,462 - £20,080 (Actual Salary) + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits
Hours: Permanent
Contract: 35 hours per week (term time plus inset days - 39 weeks)
Start date: February/ March 2025
Are you a qualified and skilled first aider, looking to make a difference every day?
We are seeking a dedicated First Aider to be the first point of contact for First Aid needs and support to our Academy. Join our team and make a meaningful contribution to our school every day.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
* Act as the first point of contact for all First Aid requirements, providing prompt and professional care to students, staff, and visitors.
* Maintain accurate records of all First Aid incidents and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage and replenish First Aid supplies and equipment to ensure readiness at all times.
* Accompany students to the hospital if required.
* Remain calm and composed, ensuring the best first aid care is provided during high intensity situations.
What are we looking for?
Due to the nature of the role, we can only consider applications from candidates with a current and valid 3 day 'First Aid at Work' qualification (or equivalent/ or higher i.e. nursing) OR an experienced first aider who has held a 'First Aid at Work' qualification within the last 3 years and is willing and able to refresh it during their employment.
It would also be advantageous if the post holder has a current 'Administering Medication Certificate' or be willing and able to undertake this during employment.
Experience of working in a school or with young people would be advantageous but is not essential.
