We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Food & Nutrition Technician to join our thriving Creative and Technology Faculty.

As a Food & Nutrition Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our teaching staff to deliver high-quality lessons, maintaining an excellent learning environment, and inspiring students to excel in Food Science and Nutrition. This role is primarily in the Food & Nutrition department but supporting the Creative and Technical Faulty when needed.

Job Purpose:

  • Ensuring the provision of a safe, effective and efficient technical service to support the food and nutrition department and its curriculum.
  • Providing practical advice and assistance in the classroom to support students and to assist teaching staff with the provision of learning activities.
  • Ensuring that health and safety requirements and other relevant regulations are adhered to including the completion and recording of necessary checks and risk assessments.
  • Contributing to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working as a Food Technician or the ability to learn.
  • Strong subject knowledge and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and enhancing the learning experience of all students.

Training will be available for the right candidate.
