Cardinal Newman School is an 11-19 comprehensive school, serving the Roman Catholic community in Luton and Dunstable. We are one of the most successful schools in Luton and have a thriving 6th form with 300 students. We have been consistently described by Ofsted as a ‘good’ school and under Section 48 as an ‘outstanding Catholic school’.
Over recent years Food Preparation and Nutrition has become increasingly popular amongst our students mainly because they enjoy developing a variety of skills, working independently and the great satisfaction of making and producing dishes to take home to their families. Students are given the opportunity to be creative by adapting recipes to develop a range of dishes to suit all types of occasion and dietary needs.
An opportunity exists for a Food Technician to support the day to day running of the Food and Nutrition Department. When required they will support teachers and students within food lessons. For full details about this post please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification.
