Actual Annual Salary:  £17,451 - £19,022 

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,136 - £27,398 – Grade B.  Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week, term time only + insets

Start – 1 September 2025

We are looking for a Food Technician to join our supportive and talented team at Broadoak Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.   

To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Food Technician who will provide technical assistance and support to meet the practical requirements of the Food Technology aspects of the Design and Technology (DT) curriculum.  They will prepare, provide, maintain and manage the necessary resources and information required to enable safe and engaging practical activities to be undertaken by staff and students.  Maintain an appropriate Health and Safety culture ensuring that all relevant Health and Safety regulations and guidelines are adhered to at all times. 

About you: 

You will have:

  • Good Literacy and numeracy stills (including GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above – or equivalent qualifications.
  • Hold a relevant vocational qualification – eg Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Educated to a minimum of A Level standard in Design Technology or equivalent experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
