The DT department are seeking a Fixed Term Food Technician to support the Food department by preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical food lessons. They will also ensure the kitchen is safe, clean, and well-organised, assist with maintaining equipment, and help students with practical tasks when needed. The role is essential in creating a smooth and effective learning environment for both teachers and students.
You will be required to undertake a Level 2/3 food hygiene certificate and first aid training.
The role requires you to order ingredients weekly for all year groups, co-ordinating orders from the food teachers and organising the store cupboard. You will need to prep the ingredients for each lesson. You will also need to have an understanding of allergies and intolerances for specific students / classes.
A driving licence and access to a car would be desirable as sometimes we need to get extra ingredients throughout the day.
