Food Technology Technician job summary
We are looking to recruit a Food Technology Technician to join our 11-18 mixed comprehensive high school to support a busy but creative Food Technology department. The hours of work in this post are 12.5 hours a week, 39 weeks per year.
The department provides academic and practical work areas for pupils studying Food Technology with two large kitchen work areas for practical lessons and two classrooms for academic lessons.
The role will also include preparing demonstration ingredients for the teacher for the start of the lesson and helping to prepare ingredients and equipment for special events such as open events, transition mornings and induction conferences.
It is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to communicate effectively at all levels and is capable of working independently.
Training will be given on the school equipment and software used to assist with the role.
