What the school offers its staff

Our Foundation Directorate provides a therapeutic, nurturing environment for students with a curriculum which is broad and balanced, organised into themed topics and supports their social and emotional growth as well as their academic progress.

There is one Foundation group in each year from Y7 to Y11, with their own base classroom. The team comprises a number of staff who only teach the foundation students, other subject specialists at KS4, and, a group of support staff who work in partnership with the teachers to provide the support, intervention and family liaison that is crucial to the success of the students.

The work done by our Foundation team is highly regarded by parents, the community and within the Multi Academy Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department and the SENCo and will also liaise with a wide range of external partners.

Commitment to safeguarding

Lyng Hall and Finham Park Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will have to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
