What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic teacher to join our school as a Full Time Classroom Teacher for mixed KS1 & 2 and SENDCo. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to students of all abilities, as well as leading our special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision. This position is ideal for someone with experience of leading SEND or someone who is new to the role.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (this is not essential however a desire to achieve the award through school support is essential)
- A passion for inclusion and of SEND, including a knowledge of current legislation and best practice
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to inclusion and equality

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality and inspiring lessons to students of all abilities in line with the school curriculum
- Support staff to identify and help students with SEND, working closely with colleagues and external professionals as necessary
- Lead and manage the school's SEND provision, ensuring that all students with SEND receive appropriate support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and support needs
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers and engage them in their child's education
- Lead a subject area of the curriculum
