What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to recruit an exceptional classroom practitioner who has a proven track record of ensuring high quality outcomes for children across the full breadth of the Primary Curriculum. This post would suit a talented, experienced, and highly motivated teacher who loves working with KS1 children and who has a good understanding of the Year 1 Curriculum.

Belle Vue Primary School is a thriving, successful school situated in a residential suburb to the West of Carlisle. The building layout within Key Stage 1 is of a semi open plan design with the six classrooms grouped in pairs around a central courtyard. Each pair of classrooms is linked by a shared practical area and usually accommodates children of the same year group. The layout within Key Stage 2 consists of eight individual classrooms over two floors. There are a variety of rooms which are used for withdrawing children who require extra support and a library. There is a staff room, meeting room, PPA room, and school administration rooms. There are two halls which are used for assemblies, PE and dining and the school has its own kitchen with meals made on the premises. The grounds at Belle Vue are first class, with two large playgrounds and an expansive grassed area. The local community is very supportive of the school, and parental co-operation is high; community and parental involvement in all aspects of school life is well developed. Staff members are expected to share in, and continue to foster this development. The Governors are hard-working and committed to the success of the school. There is an excellent relationship between pupils, staff, Governors and parents.
