General Assistant (Catering) job summary

We are seeking a permeant member of staff to join our highly motivated and hard-working Catering team.

You will be expected to prepare and serve food, handle payments and achieve high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness. Our kitchen provides a break and lunch service for students aged 9-18 so you will need to be able to work well with children and young people, as well as part of a team.

The working hours are generally 12.5 hours per week, working 12 midday to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Able to work independently or as part of a team, you will ideally have previous experience of food preparation and serving in a commercial setting as you will be required to operate a range of kitchen equipment and work to the school’s health and safety protocols. Excellent attendance, reliability and punctuality are important to us and the ideal candidate will also have some flexibility with their working hours.
