General Kitchen Assistant job summary
**Experience Required**
Here at Ferrars Junior School we run our own in-house Catering provision with a dedicated and passionate team.
We are looking for the right person to assist in our school kitchen and dining room as required to ensure that our children get a nutritious and balanced lunch.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced GKA/Cook and be able to understand and follow instructions, to work effectively as a member of a team and have knowledge of high standards of kitchen cleanliness.
In addition you’ll need to be able to perform physical tasks on a frequent basis, e.g. lifting catering equipment and supplies, up to 20 kilos.
The successful candidates will join our kitchen at a General Kitchen Assistant and will need to be reliable and punctual.
Level L1a
20 hours pw (+ up to 3hrs overtime in term time pw) 38 weeks plus 5 cleaning days
Mon - Fri 10.00am - 2pm
