General Teacher - PE and Personal Development job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and committed practitioner to the post of General Teacher.

We are looking for a person who is passionate and will stretch and challenge the most able, whilst ensuring the importance of physical wellbeing for all. The successful candidate will work with colleagues to deliver a high Quality of Education for all pupils. The main subjects to be taught will be PE and Personal Development. The role will also consist of teaching other core subjects, as well as vocational subjects based on staffing needs at the time. The post will also include elements of cover lessons where necessary.

Pupils may be referred to us for behavioural or medical reasons and we are therefore looking for someone who shares our desire to give students another chance to achieve and succeed. This would be an extremely rewarding post.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least GCSE level, having achieved Grade 4, or above, in Maths and English, as well has achieving Qualified Teacher status (QTS) or QTLS. The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate resilience, resourcefulness, initiative, good time management and patience.
