General Teacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint a general teacher that is able to teach across the curriculum, with a particular specialism up to GCSE level.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across our different sites. Our students respond well to innovative teaching and learning experiences as well as to calm, yet enthusiastic and charismatic staff.
The successful candidate will:
• Have a passion for teaching and learning
• Have excellent subject knowledge
• Be flexible and an effective team player
• Have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire students
• Value, and contribute to, the distinctive ethos of the centre
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that children make rapid progress in a supportive and caring environment.

The Clifton Centre is a Key Stage 4 Pupil Referral Unit working with students who are excluded from mainstream schools or who are at risk of such. The students attend with us for varying periods of time ranging from a number of weeks to at least a full Key Stage. Most KS4 pupils are entered for a range of GCSEs, including English and Maths.
