General Teaching Assistant job summary
We seek to appoint a General Teaching Assistant, working 25 hours per week on a permanent, term time only basis to join our established support team at Graham School, to further strengthen and develop our SEN provision.

This role will work with Teachers to support teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups of pupils under the direction of teaching staff, and may be responsible for some learning activities within the overall teaching plan with access to support and guidance as required.

Scarborough is easily accessible and whilst many of our current staff are local, many also travel from York, Hull, Driffield and the surrounding areas. Our staff are our greatest resource and we are proud to be a host school to Teach First and NPQ providers. Staff who have relocated or who have entered teaching through all routes have stayed with us whilst our support staff have successfully applied for internal promotions and careers in teaching – and for us that is a sign of a school on the up!
