Do you have experience working with children?
Would you like a role where every day is different and the opportunity to make a difference at our school?
If so, we would like to hear from you! Our small and friendly school is looking to recruit a General Teaching Assistant to work across the primary age range, predominantly with our Key Stage 2 children.
Our Opportunity This is an extremely rewarding role for someone who has a relentless drive to make a difference and a commitment to ensure that all children at our school reach their full potential. We are looking to appoint an excellent Teaching Assistant who has experience of supporting primary aged children, particularly those in upper KS2. The role will entail a mixture of whole class support, and also small group and 1:1 support, working closely with the class teacher and other support staff.
About you:
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative and resourceful, with a desire to work as part of our fantastic team and become a valued member of our school staff.
You may already be working in a school and hold a level 2 qualification, though this is not essential and we welcome applications from individuals with experience working with children in a non-classroom setting and recent graduates looking to obtain classroom experience with a view to train to teach.
Personality is key as you will have excellent communication skills and a calm and understanding manner, be flexible in your approach and have the ability to develop secure relationships with parents, staff and children. You will use your self-initiative and positive attitude to overcome challenges and make the most of every moment!
In return, we can offer you a supportive environment, opportunities for professional development and the encouragement to try new initiatives in a forward-looking school.
