You will be joining our EYFS and KS1 teacher, Miss Emily Clarke, and will collaborate with the other excellent staff we have within the setting.

The class consists of Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and offers high quality teaching combined with Continuous Provision, which gives children the freedom to follow their interests, be inspired by exciting new experiences and explore and extend their learning in a developmentally appropriate way. Key Duties:

  • Play an important part in inspiring groups of young children, helping to bring teacher-planned activities to life in fun, engaging and meaningful ways.
  • Help create and maintain a vibrant, stimulating learning environment — setting up resources, enhancing provision areas and ensuring every space encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Support the smooth running of the classroom by assisting teachers, and ATAs with day‑to‑day tasks and activities.
  • Observe children as they play and learn, capturing key moments to contribute to their ongoing assessments and developmental records.
  • Foster warm, positive relationships with children by engaging them in meaningful dialogue that encourages deeper thinking and supports the development of effective learning behaviours.

Essential Skills

  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience appropriate to working with children in a learning environment
  • An awareness of child/young person’s development and learning
  • An understanding that children/Young people have differing needs
