General Teaching Assistant job summary

  • Contract: Permanent Term Time Only + training days
  • Hours: 21.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:45am to 1pm (including 1 hour lunch duty)
  • FTE salary: £23,656 - £24,404 per annum
  • Actual salary: £11,637 - £12,005 per annum
  • Holidays: equivalent 13 weeks per academic year

Rossett Acre Primary School, part of the Red Kite Learning Trust, is a successful two-form entry primary school on the south side of Harrogate. With over 400 pupils, our school vision is ‘Excellence and Happiness for all’ with our aim being that all our pupils achieve their potential and are happy in their learning.

  • Has the skills to communicate effectively and establish constructive and caring relationships with all children, parents, families, carers, external agencies and other professionals

  • Has an enthusiasm for and an active interest in children’s learning and play
  • Willing to follow a restorative approach as per our behaviour policy
  • Is a team player with a positive outlook
  • Has experience of working in a Key Stage 1 classroom
