General Teaching Assistant job summary
1 X PART TIME (16 hours) General Teaching Assistant required as soon as possible (fixed term until August 2023)
Pay scale: Grade C SCP 2-4 (6849.23 – 7125.73)
The above salary range equates to 16 hours.
Hours: Monday 8.45am – 3.15pm, Thursday 8.45am – 3.15pm and Friday 8.45am – 3pm
Required for immediate start, an outstanding candidate to join our wonderful school in the village of Goathland.
We are looking for an experienced Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) to support children mainly in our Early Years/Key Stage 1 class. This exciting opportunity coincides with the launch of our new Nursery provision and the post will involve a key focus on supporting our youngest children. There will also be opportunities to support older children as required.
We are looking for a candidate who:
Can form positive and caring relationships with children which motivates them to learn, grow and be confident
Shows initiative and the ability to be spontaneous
Enjoys planning and leading play-based activities
Has a passion for the outside classroom
Is confident with the EYFS framework and its assessment procedures
Is a good team player; willing to contribute to the ethos and wider community of the school
Has excellent subject knowledge of early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy
Has a sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm
Shares our commitment to high quality CPD.
