General Teaching Assistant / Midday Supervisory Assistant

GTA 30 hours + MSA 2.5 hours per week

Established.

GTA - Grade C, SCP 2-4 pro rata dependent on experience. MSA – Grade B

This post is for a General Teaching Assistant with MSA duties.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to further enhance our school team. The colleague appointed will have a love for working with young people and be passionate about providing high quality support and care to children aged 4-11.

We are looking for a dedicated and flexible team player to work with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction of the class teachers.

Applicants will need:

Previous, recent experience of working in a school setting
Relevant NVQ qualification and experience
Patience and consistency to develop excellent relationships with children
To be able to work as a member of a hard-working and talented team but also to use their own initiative
To work under the direction and support of the class teacher
An understanding of inclusion and a belief that every child can achieve their potential
To be able to develop a good relationship with parents and colleagues
