General Teaching Assistant job summary

Selby Community Primary School is National Support School and judged ‘good’ by Ofsted (March 2017). We are initially looking for a teaching assistant to join our EYFS team, but with the flexibility to be able to work across the school (ages 2 to 11). The post is a fixed term position initially for 15 hours. In addition there will be an extra 3.5 hours midday supervisor role.

The candidate should have the motivation to develop themselves professionally and collaborate with others as well as the ability to develop strong relationships with parents and others.

The successful candidate will have the ability to provide a high-quality learning experience as well as the enthusiasm and energy to engage and motivate all pupils.

The post will be offered on a fixed term basis in the first instance. It is likely this post may well be required beyond April.
