On behalf of all the children, staff and Governors, I would like to warmly welcome you to the Kirkbymoorside Community Primary School website. As you browse, I hope that you will gain a good insight into the life of our school and those who teach, work and learn here.
The school has been on its current site since 1980. We are lucky to have such a lovely school surrounded by beautiful countryside. We are fortunate to have such a well-designed building, and resources to help deliver our broad, balanced and exciting curriculum. We have a dedicated, committed and hardworking team who strive to do the very best for our children.
We are a school that likes to celebrate success at every level. The life of the school is driven by enthusiasm and a desire to achieve. We promote learning that is active and creative and encourages children to embrace challenge. We ensure a wide range of experiences, especially through historical trips, music, sport and the performing arts. We consider the skills of communication, numeracy and literacy to be the foundation of our learning and we are proud of our standards and achievements. We place a huge emphasis on developing the unique potential of every child. We teach children the importance of tolerance and fairness, care and friendship and we take great pride in everything that we achieve.
In July 2016 we joined the Ryedale Federation. This converted to the Ryedale Learning Trust Academy in February 2021. This is a group of three local primary schools and the local secondary school who agree that we are ‘Stronger Together’. We work closely together to ensure that all of our pupils receive the best possible education.
Our school has a warm, friendly family atmosphere. We have an open door policy and believe that strong partnerships with parents and carers generate the best possible educational experience for each child and their family.
Come and see our school in action and feel the positive atmosphere for yourself. Contact the school today to arrange a time to meet myself and have a tour of our fantastic school.
