Are you looking for a new challenge?
As we strengthen our team, we are looking for a special person to help support learning in our Nursery class.
Airy Hill Primary School is a leading school in our area and we are proud to take our wonderful children from the West, Centre and surrounding areas around Whitby. We are a member of a group of schools (West Cliff, Airy Hill, Lealholm, Castleton and Glaisdale) in Whitby, known as the Yorkshire Endeavour Academy Trust (YEAT).
YEAT is also nationally designated an ‘English Hub’ which delivers excellence in early language and phonics teaching in reception and KS1.
We work hard to provide a high-quality learning experience and a calm, purposeful and enjoyable learning environment.
Our Opportunity
We are looking to appoint two dedicated teaching assistants to work one to one with two children in our nursery setting who need support with their interaction and communication.
We encourage applications from candidates who have a passion for nursery education and wish to work in a setting which offers reward and challenge and where no two days are the same.
This is a fixed term post starting in January 2022 and will be initially until August 2022. The successful candidate must hold English and Maths GCSE level ‘C’ or above or equivalent.
You will:
• Ideally have previous experience in this type of role or with young children
• Be able to support in the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for youngest children
• Have high expectations of learning and behaviour that inspire and motivate our children
• Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with high expectations.
• Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience
• Work well as part of a team
We can offer you:
• A warm, happy school where we value everyone and have a philosophy of kindness and support for each other
• Happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children
• A school with exciting and attractive learning environments
• A leadership team who welcome fresh ideas and a sense of teamwork.
The closing date for the post is Monday 29th November, with interviews planned for Friday 3rd December.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
Applications forms and further details are available to download from our website or from the NYCC job advert. Please don’t click apply on the advert as you will need to complete the Trust application form.
