In the words of current staff:
“We may be a small team, but we have big plans for the future. We believe in the power of teaching Geography to our students; how it will broaden their horizons and make them more informed about the world in which they live. We plan and collaborate together, sharing ideas and trying new things. Our curriculum and resources change to reflect the changes in our world. Geography at QKA is now becoming a popular subject of choice at both KS4 and 5, a fact for which we are very proud. I love teaching Geography at QKA.”
“Why I enjoy working here: super friendly and fun staff across the school, great learning environment and good facilities. We all support each other and build on each other’s strengths, high quality resources and teaching materials, interesting topics and subjects for learning, tremendous fun to work and collaborate with everyone! Highlights: strong, informative feedback to foster strengths and improve teaching capabilities, great subject meetings which allow us to really devote time to improving the subject for us and the students. Fieldtrips in GCSE to the coast, chance to teach A-level groups and field trips to Wales and London”
The department is well resourced and led by fantastic practitioners and we are looking to appoint a colleague who shares their enthusiasm and unwavering determination to help every student enjoy, achieve and progress.
