What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a highly motivated, inspirational Teacher of Geography to join Chilton Trinity School on a fixed term basis, until the end of this academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity suitable for experienced practitioners as well as newly qualified teachers, who could benefit from our successful and supportive Futura Learning Partnership ECT Induction Programme
Education
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Successful completion of induction year
- Experience
- Evidence of suitability to work with children and young people
- Knowledge of recent developments in learning and teaching
- A good understanding of effective ways to facilitate learning
- Familiar with the National Curriculum framework for your subject
- Knowledge of recent developments in learning and teaching
- Secondary school teaching across the age and ability range from Yr7 to ‘A’ Level
- Knowledge and Understanding
- Good knowledge of National Curriculum for your subject
- Good understanding of Assessment for Learning practice
- A clear understanding of the place of your subject within the whole curriculum
- Knowledge and understanding of differentiation
- Skills
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and teaching skills
- Ability to establish good relationships within the team, with other colleagues and with students
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent use of ICT as a teaching and admin tool
