We are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic and creative Geography teacher with a passion for encouraging our students love of this subject throughout their learning journey. The successful candidate will need to provide our students with an outstanding education, and work collaboratively with departmental staff in our high performing department.

Geography is a successful department at Smithdon High School and GCSE Geography is a popular optional subject. We have an established knowledge rich curriculum which is fully resourced, providing teachers with resources for every lesson.
We have four specialist Geography teachers working in fully equipped rooms with projectors and visualisers as well as key textbooks. The department has a range of fieldwork equipment, used at various points in the KS3 and KS4 curriculum. Our teachers are supported by the Senior Leadership Team and Cross-Trust Leaders.
Our school is an 11-16 secondary located in the town of Hunstanton on the North Norfolk coast, famed for its sunshine and colourful striped cliffs.
Part of West Norfolk Academies Trust (WNAT) - a small, locally based charity working with 7 primary and 4 secondary schools, we have just over 600 students and are currently oversubscribed in Year 7.
