Governance Professional (Administration) Vacancy
Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a permanent, part-time Governance Professional based in the Trust Central Offices in Corsham. Please note this is an administrational position.
Required to start: as soon as possible
Hours required: 25 hours per week (exact days and hours to be mutually agreed). The nature of the role requires a flexible approach to working hours in order to accommodate evening meetings. This will need to be discussed and agreed with the CEO to meet the requirements of the trust Board meeting schedule.
39 weeks per annum (term time plus TD days).
Salary Point I18 – 20, £32,076 - £33,945 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £18,641 - £19,727 per annum) plus pending salary review, dependent on experience.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our fantastic team who is motivated to support the trust to achieve the best education for all of our pupils. The successful candidate will lead and maintain effective oversight of governance across Pickwick Academy Trust and provide professional clerking for the Trust Board and its committees.
Job purpose:
The Governance Professional is responsible to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) (Designated Line Manager) for leading and maintaining oversight of governance across Pickwick Academy Trust, and for providing professional clerking services for the Trust Board and its committees.
The role will support the Trust’s strategic development and implementation of its governance function, ensuring alignment to the vision and values of the Trust. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the Trust’s guidance materials for governors, Members and Trustees (e.g. Local Governance Committee Handbook, policies and induction processes) are shared, understood and adhered to.
The Governance Professional will take responsibility for maintaining the Trust’s policy schedule and will lead on the review and ratification process for these. The post holder will also be responsible for updating documentation, including the governance section of the Trust website and Governor Hub and working with the CFOO to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements and deadlines.
