Are you someone who really wants to make a positive difference to the lives of young people? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.
Plus, this role has great flexibility; it’s an opportunity not to be missed!
Batley Multi Academy Trust’s sole purpose is to provide a great education for Primary and Secondary learners throughout a local family of schools. The Trust is passionately committed to the communities of Batley, Birstall, Dewsbury and our surrounding areas, serving our local learners and their families in order to secure excellent educational outcomes, partnered with high aspirations.
Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School; Batley Grammar School; Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School; Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School; Manorfield Infant and Nursery School and Upper Batley High School. Hyrstmount Junior School and Purwell Infant and Nursery School will be joining the Trust family of schools in April 2025. We provide high quality education for all young people. This collaboration enables us to share expertise, knowledge and best practice to ensure academic and pastoral excellence throughout all of our schools, with all schools embracing the same overall ethos and values, whilst maintaining their own unique characters.
We are seeking a highly organised and self-motivated individual, with the enthusiasm and drive to help deliver strong and effective governance practices. The Governance Professional will be an integral part of the team, working under the direction of the Director of Compliance and Governance. We are looking for a great team player and someone able to work independently and support and contribute to the wider team. Someone who really wants to make a positive difference.
This role has the fantastic benefit of flexibility. This is a full time role and can be worked flexibly both in terms of hours and location. Some Governor meetings are held early in the evening, not during school hours, so this is a role that can work really well around family life and/or other hobbies and interests.
The successful candidate will be highly efficient, an excellent communicator and maintain a high level of confidentiality, at all times. The role requires excellent attention to detail, high standards of customer service with a strong administrative foundation and experience of supporting meetings. Training and support is recommended and is available to build knowledge on compliance and governance matters.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive forward thinking Trust, who in return for your commitment and hard work, will support you to achieve your own career goals and aspirations.
