Graduate Assistant job summary
Opened in 2014, Holyport College has quickly established itself as an ambitious and dynamic school. Popular with parents, we are one of the most over-subscribed schools in our area. We seek creative and talented people who will join us this September to primarily work in our boys boarding houses, but there will also be opportunities to gain experience in the classroom too.
Situated in the picturesque village of Holyport, close to Windsor, Maidenhead and London, Holyport College is the country’s first state day and boarding free school and has Eton College as its sole education sponsor. Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from Eton College and the use of some of its facilities will add a unique dimension to your work.
Graduate Assistants primarily work in the boarding house to assist in the supervision of boarders. They contribute to the College’s co-curricular programme and assist with administrative duties, organise trips and events and liaise with parents. Duties include a variety of daytime, evening and weekend work, including in-class support for pupils who need extra support. The role has served as an excellent springboard into teaching with many of the current post holders securing teacher training places for next year.
