As a Graduate Trainee Teacher, you’ll benefit from Star’s comprehensive talent strategy, which focuses on harnessing and nurturing aptitude and accelerating professional growth. Our programme enables trainees to take up paid employment in school while benefitting from a blended learning approach that culminates in a professional teaching qualification that will equip you to take the next steps on your career journey.
You will spend 80% of your time working in school and 20% attending training delivered by our teacher training partner, the National Institute of Teaching. This training will lead to the award of qualified teacher status (QTS) within fourteen months.
We are currently recruiting to the programme and are seeking to employ fourteen science graduates to join the programme in:
• Bacup, Lancashire x 4
• Blackpool x 1
• Bradford x 2
• Salford x 1
• Birmingham x 5
• Waltham Forest x 1

Eden Girls’ School, Waltham Forest is a 700 place 11-18 Muslim faith-based girls’ secondary school. It opened in September 2014, admitting 152 girls into Years 7 and 8, and continues to build up its pupil numbers year on year. The school welcomes applications from pupils of all faiths and none. Like all Star schools, it has “Leadership” as a specialism.
Eden Girls’ School, Waltham Forest was assessed as “outstanding” in every category at its first Ofsted inspection in April 2017.
