Are you an experienced nursery practitioner looking to make progress in your career? Or are you a current Nursery Manager looking for a fresh opportunity?

Our vibrant and friendly day nursery is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative person to join and lead our team.

You will be championing 5 members of staff – Deputy Manager, Preschool Teacher, Baby Room Lead, 1:1 Support, and two nursery support staff. You will lead the team to foster independent growth and assist children to learn at their own pace through self-correcting lessons, helping them to reach their full potential.

Candidates should be positive, energetic, patient and willing to work with children, parents and colleagues to grow the nursery.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and manage the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education and care.
  • Foster a positive, energetic, and patient environment for children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Promote independent growth and self-paced learning.
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding standards.
  • Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Previous Nursery leader experience, including excellent EYFS and Safeguarding knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A passionate and positive attitude towards working with children
  • A full and relevant childcare qualification (level 3 or above)

DFE Early Years Incentive

The aim of this scheme is to support nurseries with recruitment and increase the number of permanent practitioners in the early years workforce. Successful applicants will receive a £1000 payment after they have been in the role for 6 months. To be eligible for a payment, you must either:

  • Not have worked in a nursery before
  • Have worked in a nursery before but not in the last 6 months
  • Have worked in a nursery in the last 6 months but on a temporary contract
