Haven Manager job summary

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Provision Lead to run The Haven — our nurturing, trauma-informed space for students experiencing anxiety, emotional challenges, or school avoidance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the daily running of The Haven, ensuring a calm, safe and supportive environment.

Plan and deliver a structured day, including curriculum catch-up and enrichment.

Develop personalised support and reintegration plans.

Deliver 1:1 and small-group sessions focusing on emotional regulation, resilience and confidence.

Work collaboratively with teaching, SEND, pastoral and safeguarding teams.

Track attendance, behaviour and progress, reporting outcomes to senior leaders.

About You

Experienced in supporting secondary-age students with SEMH or emotional needs.

Skilled in building positive relationships and using restorative approaches.

Confident delivering basic curriculum content (English/Maths catch-up).

Calm, compassionate and resilient, with strong organisational and communication skills.

Knowledgeable about safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
