Our College aims to help young people with SEND find their place in the community, be as independent as possible, find employment and lead healthy lives. 
 

The post holder will demonstrate a passion for narrowing the SEND gaps in adult life and have a demonstrable history of delivering outcomes in the SEND sector. 
 

The role will include the day to day operations of the college, ensuring performance and standards are continuously high, leading a team of dedicated staff, oversight of student safety and welfare. The incumbent will also demonstrate the ability to be effective in maximising opportunities for students to experience the world of work. The post holder will need to be an innovator, with the skills and experience to be aware of the national agenda within this sector in order to respond to the local and regional needs. 
 

All Staff at Rotherham Opportunities College are employed and part of the Newman School Family and are seconded to the College. Newman School is a dynamic school for pupils aged 2-19 with a broad spectrum of SEN.  We are dedicated to providing the very best and flexible education for all our students and have high expectations for everyone in our school and college. 
 

You will be:- 

·         Passionate about improving the lives of all Students and putting them at the heart of everything we do 

·         Able to work alongside and lead a team to deliver exacting standards 

·         Have a proven track record of providing a high quality education for Students and improving standards of learning, with a particular focus and understanding of Preparing for Adulthood 

·         Actively supporting and working towards the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement and Development Plan 

·         A key link for College working closely with Newman School Leadership Team 

·         Able to support and prepare students transitioning into and from Rotherham Opportunities College
