HEAD OF ACADEMY - THE PARKS ACADEMY, HULL

The Parks Academy are looking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational, hard-working Head of Academy to lead our school and to continue to drive forward our success, with effect from September 2020. You will be responsible for all aspects of the internal organisation, professional leadership, management and control of the school and for leading supervision over teaching and support staff in accordance with Instrument of Government.

The Parks is rated by Ofsted as a Good school and is located in the heart of Orchard Park. Our Ofsted rating is not the only thing 'Good' about us. We have an amazing team of staff who offer fabulous support, both in an academic and pastoral sense. We ensure that the curriculum is well rounded and that pupils have opportunities and experiences to last a lifetime! We aim to be the best school on our estate and we are passionate about all pupils getting the best experience in primary education. We know the value of effective relationships with parents and enjoy brilliant parental support.

We are very lucky that we are situated in Hull along with three other Delta academies: Craven Primary Academy, Mersey Primary Academy and Estcourt Primary. This allows us to work closely together and each academy is committed to learning from each other and sharing best practise.

The Parks Primary Academy is located in the heart of Orchard Park, Hull, and is proudly rated by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ (November 2023). We believe The Parks is an academy where kindness, ambition, and academic excellence flourish, and have an excellent team of staff offering fantastic support, both in an academic and pastoral sense.

We are a 1.5 form entry school, catering for pupils from the Early Years Foundation Stage, through to Key Stage 1 and 2, with around 350 pupils on roll.

Between 2021 and 2023 the school site underwent large renovation works, including a welcoming entrance area, extensions to the buildings, a large front playground, and full refurbishments throughout the academy. The building and facilities are now modern, spacious and promote a positive approach to learning.

The Parks Academy is a great place to learn and work. We believe that when staff, parents and children work together all children, irrespective of their background, can succeed and achieve their ambitions.
