Head of Art job summary
The Role
The Head of Art takes responsibility for all curricular and extra-curricular art at the school. Art is taught throughout the school, from Year 7 to Year 13. Students are taught Art and Design as well as Photography up to GCSE and A Level.
Our students produce work of a very high standard, across all media and we are very proud of their achievements. We are looking for a highly knowledgeable Head of Art who has a passion for the subject and a broad knowledge of the current landscape of Art and Design.
The postholder will be responsible for leading the department to promote participation and excellence in all aspects of Art.
The Person
Suitable candidates will have a passion for all areas of Art and Design, including painting, sculpture and print as well as more contemporary forms of art. They will have a range of art skills and be comfortable teaching oil painting as well as printing and clay work.
