What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential

  • Graduate with a related degree

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status

  • Able to teach up to KS5 art

  • Evidence of preparation for leadership of a department and ongoing CPD

  • Meets national standards for ECT

  • Successful experience of teaching art

  • Good knowledge of current curriculum developments

  • Able to implement and support school policies to provide effective pastoral care


Desirable

  • Additional qualifications or academic experience
  • Successful experience working with young people in a pastoral capacity (e.g. as form tutor, youth worker, voluntary work)
  • Successful experience in a position of curriculum leadership

St Bede's is a voluntary aided school located in Redhill, Surrey. We are proud to serve roughly 1,900 boys and girls of all abilities, age 11-18, from Reigate, Redhill, Caterham, Horley and the surrounding areas. This includes over 300 studying academic courses in the sixth form. The school will be gradually expanding over the next few years.
