What skills and experience we're looking for

As Head of Biology you will be in a job that will motivate and challenge you in equal measure. You will be leading the development of the Biology area of the Science curriculum, working with both experienced and early-career teachers, supporting them to develop their pedagogy and be the very best teachers they can be. You will work closely with our Curriculum Leader to deliver an ambitious and engaging Biology curriculum that inspires students to enjoy and study Biology from KS3 through to A level. We actively promote the importance of STEM subjects within the school and would expect the successful candidate to play a significant part in developing this area through our co-curricular activities program. The successful candidate would be able to teach Biology from KS3 through to A level, and ideally being able to teach all 3 sciences up to GCSE.
