What skills and experience we're looking for

You will have a track record of improvement and some experience of leading staff. You must have the ability to create a clear strategy to enhance and develop the department in achieving academic excellence. We will give you the freedom, autonomy and support to adapt and review the Business/ICT curriculum in line with our vision. The role would suit best an experienced practitioner in a combination of the following subjects: Business, IT, Computer Science, Accounting and/or ESports.

As one of our most popular department selections at GCSE and A Level, you will have the vision to expand the department and explore practical experiences for pupils in a wide range of business settings across multiple sectors to enhance the learning of our students.

What the school offers its staff

Highcrest offers a comprehensive induction and an extensive personalised CPD plan for all staff. HODs are expected to attend a leadership development programme designed to prepare them emotionally and professionally for Senior Leadership. In addition, we are an outward-facing school with regard to liaising with neighbouring schools, having developed partnerships with PiXL and other networks to further enhance the professional experiences of our HODs.
