Head of Business Studies job summary

Saltash Community School is looking to appoint a Head of Business Studies who shares our commitment to excellence and our passion for achieving the very best outcomes for our students. This is a full time position with a September 2022 start date. Salary – MPS/UPS + TLR
Business Studies is a well-established and popular subject at Saltash Community School, offered at both GCSE and A level. Uptake is high with 20-25% of students opting for it at GCSE and a good number at A level also. We currently use Eduqas at both GCSE and A level. Alongside the GCSE course, we will be running the CNat in Enterprise and Marketing from September 2022. As this cohort moves into the Sixth Form we will offer CNat Business at L3 as their progression route.
We are therefore looking for a candidate with the experience and enthusiasm to support the department’s evolution.
We are part of South East Cornwall Multi Academy Regional Trust (SMART), incorporating other academies, both primary and secondary, from South East Cornwall.
