We have a fantastic opportunity for an imaginative and energetic Art teacher to take their next step into leadership. Art is a popular subject with our students, with three arts courses offered at GCSE: Fine art, photography and textiles.
The subject is taught by enthusiastic, motivated, and well qualified art teachers, making the department well-liked and successful. There is a full-time experienced art technician.

The role and what we are looking for
The successful candidate will lead the Art Department, which consists of three teachers (including the Head of Department) and a technician, as well as teach Art at KS3 and KS4. A willingness to support the Academy ethos and support of extra-curricular activities within the Academy is essential. You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. A passion for creative arts and a commitment to developing it across the curriculum is paramount.
