Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st January 2019, our Trust is comprised of 23 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 11 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. Head of Department - Art job summary
About the role: The Halley Academy has a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint an experienced Art practitioner to head up our department. Joining us at Easter or September 2019 (depending on your availability), the appointed Head of Art will be driven, motivated and most of all, passionate about their subject area. Ideally, our successful candidate will have some leadership experience already, whether that be a cross-school role or perhaps a Key Stage Co-ordinator role. Our successful candidate will join us on a permanent, full-time basis and must be able to teach at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 with some exposure to Photography as well. Regardless of what stage you are at in your career, we can offer you bespoke career progression and development and fantastic career prospects. As an IB School, applicants that have previous experience in delivering MYP and DP are of strong interest to us but please note that this criterion is not essential.
