Head of Department - Modern Foreign Languages job summary
South Dartmoor Community College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Head of MFL. This is a full time, permanent position. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior team and fellow Heads of Departments to deliver high quality lessons and opportunities to Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 students. The successful candidate will be a hard-working individual; passionate about MFL and a teacher with high expectations and an unwavering determination to get the best outcomes for students.
This last year we have secured some of the best results in the South West for student progress. It has a strong staff team in place to ensure every child is enabled to fulfil their potential including specialist teachers at all levels. We have an excellent academic record and our pastoral support is second to none. Our students report that they feel very happy and safe at the school. We are proud of our students and they are proud of their school. The relationships between staff and students are strong. Community engagement is also an important feature; we have an active Parent/Teacher Association (FOSDA—Friends of South Dartmoor Academy).
