A Trainee Head of Department will receive their Teacher pay scale plus TLR 3E (£2,757 p.a.)
A Trainee Head of Physics, we would be assigned a Mentor, who would be an existing middle leader, to support the Trainee through the programme. More information regarding this can be found in the "Further Details" document attached to the job advert.

We are looking to appoint to the following post from September 2020:
Head of Department - Physics/Trainee Head of Department - Physics
(Full-time/Permanent)
Teachers Pay Range (£24,373 - £40,490 p.a.) plus TLR 2C (£6,829 p.a.) for Head of Department or TLR 3E (£2,757 p.a.) for Trainee Head of Department
The successful candidate will be required to be able to teach Physics from KS3 to KS5 along with Chemistry and Biology at KS3. The ability to teach Chemistry or Biology to KS4 would be an advantage.
If we appoint a Trainee Head of Physics, we would then seek to appoint a Mentor, who would be an existing middle leader, to support the Trainee through the programme.
