We seek a passionate, enthusiastic and committed
Head of Department (Progress Leader) for Science who shares the ambition,
aspirations and values of the school. You will need to be a leader and practitioner
who consistently delivers high quality teaching with the ability to inspire,
engage and motivate students. You will need have excellent communication
skills, be ambitious and be able to build teams and lead people. Above all
else, you will need to be ‘Dedicated to Excellence’ in all that you do,
modelling to staff and students.

Network partner school with strong links to the Science Learning Partnership, the
Science department have access to regular subject specific CPD. The improvement in teaching and learning is a
key aspect of our school improvement plan.
We are therefore seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and outstanding
teacher of Science to support colleagues within the department to raise
standards and outcomes, most notably at KS4.
The leadership of the department is supported by two Assistant Progress
Leaders and by an Associate Assistant
Headteacher with a background in teaching and leading Science Departments.
