Head of Design and Technology (TLR 2b + R&R) job summary
We are looking to appoint a highly capable and inspirational Head of Design and Technology. This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Design and Technology teacher seeking to take the step into Middle Leadership or an experienced Head of Department looking for a new challenge.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire our pupils with outstanding and engaging teaching. Our students are a delight to teach and we foster an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.
The Department currently follow the OCR exam board course in Design and Technology at GCSE level. Teaching within the department benefits from a team of specialist teachers who have all contributed to the department’s rich curriculum. The Department benefits from excellent facilities and resources.
The successful candidate will:
• Be committed to supporting all pupils to achieve their “Personal Best”
• Be an excellent teacher
• Be able to teach Design and Technology to GCSE Level
• Have excellent interpersonal leadership skills, underpinned by a firm vision for the teaching of Design and Technology.

• Have aspirations for further promotion
