Wyvern St Edmund's (WSE) are seeking a Head of Department to lead our Design Technology Department.

We are very proud of the progress that students make at WSE. We are committed to a process of constant school improvement so that our students are afforded every opportunity to become the best version of themselves.

We also have a close and positive relationship with Salisbury Sixth Form College, which is a short drive away from WSE. Our partnership with the college means that there may be opportunities to work collaboratively with KS5 students and teachers.

The successful candidates can be assured of joining a warm and supportive environment along with robust professional challenge.

All students leave Wyvern St Edmund’s having developed a range of practical life skills through enjoyable and engaging learning. All students should experience different cultures and ways of life and develop an awareness of the impact they have on future society.

At Wyvern St Edmund’s the Design Technology department encompasses Design Technology (Product Design & Textiles) and Hospitality & Catering. The department consists of 7 teachers who are supported by 3 technicians where required. The department is well resourced with two workshops, two dedicated Textiles rooms, three kitchens (including a professional catering environment), preparation and storage spaces and access to CAD/CAM facilities.
