Head of Design Technology (with Food Technology) job summary

Wyvern St Edmund's (WSE) require an outstanding Head of Design Technology to lead our Design Technology Department, on a permanent basis. 

The successful candidate will have a specialism in teaching Food Technology.  

In parallel to this role, we are also advertising the position of Head of Design Technology (with a specialism in Food Technology).  We will only be appointing to one of these roles, Teacher or Head of Design Technology.

We also have a close and positive relationship with Salisbury Sixth Form College, which is a short drive away from WSE. Our partnership with the college means that there may be opportunities to work collaboratively with KS5 students and teachers.

The Design Technology department encompasses Cooking & Nutrition & Design Technology (Textiles, Electronics, Resistant Materials, Systems & Control).  The department is well resourced with three workshops, two sewing rooms, three kitchens, a classroom, two prep rooms and access to ICT facilities for CAD/CAM.
