Head of Early Years job summary
Byron Wood Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Early Years!
The core purpose of the Head of Early Years is to provide vision and dynamic and professional leadership to ensure the highest educational provision at Byron Wood Academy, whilst maintaining the Academy ethos and embodying a passion for all through education. The Head of Early Years embodies respect and trust throughout the Academy and plans and delivers improvements through effective management and delegation. The Head of Early Years will not only oversee the educational experiences and success of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, but those children preparing for their educational careers, in our nursery.
The Head of Early Years will work with the Senior Leadership Team to create a shared strategic vision and plan which inspires and motivates pupils and colleagues and leads to the highest standards of achievement. The Head is expected to be a visible, welcoming and friendly presence, demonstrating the vision and values of the Academy in everyday work and practice.
The Head will lead, manage, motivate and inspire Byron Wood Academy staff, building leadership capacity and identifying talent. The Head is responsible for creating a shared learning culture and positive environment through distributive leadership and an environment which enables everyone to work collaboratively, including being a key player in shaping the relationships within the community and beyond.

We are committed to ensuring that all staff access regular, contextual safeguarding training to meet the needs of the local community.
