Further details about the role

We are seeking to appoint an engaging and supportive individual with a talent for leadership, who has the knowledge and skills to inspire our extremely focused, articulate and diverse student body. The overriding aim of the Economics department at The Tiffin Girls’ School is to develop students to be curious learners in a globally interconnected society.

Many students who have chosen Economics go on to study it in some form at a Russell Group university. As well as straight Economics students have studied courses such as Economics and Management, Economic History, Economics and Finance, Economics and Politics, and Economics and Accounting.

While the successful candidate will be confident in teaching Economics at A level to high achieving students, the school will support the development of the skills needed to run a department, and previous management experience is therefore not essential.

Commitment to safeguarding

The Tiffin Girls’ School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share and support this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to both a full employment history and child protection check, and will also be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring (criminal record) check.
